This was a very short assignment working with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities who have a major, long-term project in Ukraine assisting a number of regions and local communities' economic development strategies.

One part of this development is tourism, and I was able to offer a one-day seminar to representatives from seven disparate communities about "Event based tourism", and the opportunities for extending their seasons by developing a variety of new events and conferences.

I was very pleased to find such a wide variety of communities, and to understand how strongly their local product development and marketing has been. I hope that my input may have had some use, and certainly look forward to continuing working with such a dynamic group of people.
