Ia Tabagari
Ia Tabagari is, by training, an ethnographer, and an expert in sustainable tourism development in rural communities.
Her work has included managing Caucasus Travel in Tbilisi, operating a specialist company handling the logistics for film crews working in Georgia, chairing the Georgina Inbound Tour Operators Association, advising the Georgian government on development policy for its burgeoning wine industry and now working with Living Roots,. an organisation dedicated to preserving traditional culture in contemporary Georgia.
She has also been a regular speaker at international conferences throughout Europe, and a participant in government tourism delegations worldwide.
Her balance of academic insight with her passion for sustainabel tourism development makes Ia an invaluable member of our team.
